Rita (Danish/Netflix) came somewhat close to teaching, but the schools there (even the "bad ones" ) are OH SO MUCH NICER.

This reminds me that I recently read the book Red Widow, by Alma Katsu. I love “inside peeks” at other professions, and the blurb said she was a former analyst so I thought it might be particularly interesting. Turns out, there was a lot of talking to other people amidst office cubicles and asking various people for access to various files. Guess I got what I asked for? (It was still a decent book and I did appreciate the peek into that world, but, yeah, not the most exciting.)

House was the most unrealistic…although we could use a Dr. House consult service!

House totally did a disservice to nurses.

I think ER was pretty spot on in the beginning.

Six Feet Under got morticians pretty well.

Dexter did serial killers right!

I always thought that everyone seemed too stressed and dramatic in ER. If everyone freaked out like that every time they had a trauma or a code come in, they would hardly be able to work.

I'm not sure what to make of your Dexter reference

I hate to break the illusion of shows like Law & Order, but the folks at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children do not sit in dark rooms that look like high tech command centers solving cases.
