This is not true. We actually turned down a great school because DH was stationed overseas and they were going to require me to pick up his volunteer hours, even though I worked 60+ hours a week at a time. They don't care about your available time.
Troll post. No school requires anyone to do anything. It’s not a thing.
They can absolutely make volunteer work a condition of continued attendance. Probably not for the initial school year, but they refuse to offer a continued contract.
