Subject: Remember "Thirty Something" TV show?
I was a 20-something when thirtysomething aired and despite the fact I was in grad school and not quite at the point in my life as the characters, I still loved it. I wonder what I'd think today at nearly 60 with my 30s way in the rear-view mirror.
Another show I'd love to see again that has too much music to get the rights is American Dreams, on in the early 2000s. It took place in the 1960s, with the daughter a dancer on American bandstand.

Add me to thinking “thirtysomething” was about old people when I was in college! Then I fell in love with it when I caught reruns in my late 20s as I was about to get married. I used to program my VCR (!!!) to tape episodes!!

Ken Olin directed episodes of This is us, but it wasn't created by the same people. Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick were the creators/showrunners of thirtysomething. The other shows they created were My So-Called Life, Once and Again, and Quarterlife.
Once and Again, best show of all time. Also not streaming anywhere.
Loved that show. Didn't Evan Rachel Wood get her start on that show?

I loved it, too. Sela Ward and Billy Campbell had excellent chemistry.

I thought the point was that some of the characters had moved into grownup roles like parenthood and professions and others were still trying to find themselves. This was before everyone considered 30s an extension of 20s.
