I ask for rules to be broken and am catered to. A bicyclist has run into a car while staring at me. I’ve been asked out at bars even when I say I’m there with someone else (“you deserve better than him.”)

It’s not all rainbows and sunshine. I am sometimes not taken seriously at work. I never knew if a guy was genuinely interested in being friends or just wanted to sleep with me.

There are some general rules for our culture--fairly thin, symmetrical face, shiny hair, clear skin, straight teeth. If you have those things, you're 80% of the way there. Dressing well and confidence take you the rest of the way.

People trust me immediately or think I’m competent even though they have zero reason to.

Oh jezus, I am not nearly as gorgeous as that! I think I was an 8 at my prime. But older men acted foolish, and guys my same age either loved me or tried that "negging" strategy. It was confusing, and I had poor self esteem, so it was a mess some of the time.

I have many beautiful friends, and the most beautiful one is kinda effed up from improper male attention and trauma. She is married to a wealthy guy who is abusive and she can't get out because of kids. I love her and can't help her.

Pp here- I’m married now but even when I was younger guys rarely asked me out and definitely not hot guys. I think there’s pretty to girls and general pretty vs hot to guys which often is a completely different aesthetic.
