Look at the linked in for some of these kids and you can decide if you think they impress or not. It has been posted over and over and over that the rigor and the grades and the first in class status is what all the applicants have. What else do they bring to the table that makes the ivies compete for them. It always seems to be some freaky standout talent ar something.

I think my liberal arts kid likes the academics at these two over those of more pompous Ivy schools. They are both more laid back and friendly and somewhat flexible for those in the ‘love to learn ‘ category.
