The owner retired in 2018 and sold the brand to Mondelez. Clearly there's been a drop in quality/taste since. It's too bad!

Whisked is so much better and fresher

I was just eating the chocolate chip ones and went googling. They no longer have the magical distinct taste I remember. Now I mostly taste some kind of generic processed flavor - reminds me of a chips a hoy. Ashame but won’t buy again.

Just bought a bag after not having them for a while
The chocolate chip walnut
They definitely have changed
Not crispy, flavor isn't near as good as it used to be
Too bad they cared more about money than the quality of their
cookies
Won't be buying them anymore
🥴😞😛

Those were always junk full of seed oils and corn syrup. Tate's were considered premium grocery store cookies.

They’re definitely not as tasty as they used to be. I’m not going to bother buying them anymore. What a disappointment.

I make my own Crumbl sugar cookies and they taste better.

I have been purchasing Tates Oatmeal raisin cookies for quite some time. They are NOT the same. I use to love those cookies. I am so disappointed.

I officially agree. Used to buy these often. Bought a few times recently and they are so different. Not crunchy and really have no taste

They used to be good. The only ones that I still like are the ginger cookies. The chocolate chip and the lemon — which used to be delicious— were awful the last time I tried them. Mondelez owns them now, so they’ve probably been tinkering with the recipes as they prioritize economy over taste.

I used to enjoy the gluten free ones. I do not feel like they taste as good as they used to.

Yes. There were never that great to begin with. Support your local bakery.

Agree they used to be more flavorful, and have more crisp and a little more salt, which made them stand apart. Also they were shinier
