I guess I am an outlier but I really like it and get compliments on it when I use it. I am younger than the target demo though - late 30s. I wonder if that matters.

I’m just annoyed that I went with the color they recommended. I would’ve gotten a pink subtle one but the online thing told me to get bronze and it’s way too dark.

Late, but I bought the palette to try it and I loved it. My skin is super dry and I'm older (in my 50's). I use it over my normal foundation and blush, just a swipe of the blush and then the highlighter, and it just does something for my face. It gives it back the dewiness that I haven't seen in a while, and it almost totally absorbs into my skin after a short while. My skin definitely is more moisturized and it looks better in genera. I bought more LOL. I'm guessing maybe if you put it on heavily it would be gloopy and sticky, but just the swipe for me isn't.

I’m 45 and discovered Merit cosmetics and am never going to anything else. They have a foundation stick that can be a bit hard to match, so you have to go to Sephora, but the consistency is smooth and silky. Their blushes are perfection for older skin (pigmented but hydrating) and their mascara is subtle, long lasting, non flaky (tubing type but not ridiculous).

OK I don't disagree with the assessments here, it's a super weird product and greasy and smells. I got the palette too because I am a sucker. BUT I did accidentally find a way that it works for me - I used the blush color one as blush, just a bit of it, and then I used my powder blush over it - made my blush look glowy and more pigmented and stayed on for much longer. So I will actually use it. But I probably won't repurchase, because it will last a long time and using it on its own isn't great.

It really is a lesson for all of us though to be skeptical of the brands that are targeting the hardest on social media.

This is the worst of both worlds! It has zero coverage ( I guess that’s what they mean when they say it’s the “no makeup makeup “) but it’s heavy and waxy and it actually melts if you get hot. It feels as if I melted a candle ( colorless candle) and then for some inexplicable reason, smeared it on my face!! It’s just awful!! I do not know how this company is surviving..

I finally got sucked into making the purchase! I got the Miracle Balm Palette -- with three little circles of three of the balms -- Dusty Rose, Pinched Cheeks, & Happy Hour. I am 75, with very good skin, due to my mother's insistence that I never try to get suntanned. (Got a burn once, and that was that! I am so grateful that she did that...)
I tried it for the first time today. It is way greasier than anything I would normally try, and the color payoff on those first two colors was minimal.
I have been using some new-to-me products from Aleph Beauty. It's originally from New Zealand, but there are now distributors in the states. I've been using the Cheek/Lip tint -- so much more color payoff!! Also the Concealer / Foundation. It is amazing! First time I've ever used concealer that actually works, with just a light application. I also use the Serum / Primer. You an mix a tiny amount of the serum with the foundation -- truly tiny! -- for a lovely application. And rather than plastic containers like Jones Road, they use little glass jars. But this stuff is going to last a really long time!

Greasy isn't the term. It's an incredibly thick waxy substance that stays on top of the skin and just catches hair, bugs, pollen, and flying dirt. I mean NEVER, NEVER wear this during cicada season.

Something went really wrong here. It isn't even comfortable on the face, flying stuck debris aside- it just sits there heavy and I could barely mive my cheeks. When I got it, I was sure I got some dud by accident. But no, this is the product and it's just so hard to
believe. I will say the colors are so beautiful- but they need to stop this ridiculous marketing (acting like everyone is just using it incorrectly, come on ) and reformulate. I had a lot of respect for BB, but she made a mistake in her maiden voyage after 25 years. All her other BB stuff isn't hers, and hasn't been hers all this time. She was bought out decades ago. Jones Road is her new break out, and, well, she messed up here. The other stuff in the line is OK, not great. I did like a few things.

I don’t use foundation, and I like how it gives a subtle flush of color or sheen to bare and *ahem* maturing skin. I get compliments when I use it.

My friend really loves the stuff and gave me one of the mini pots. The dusty rose color in the pot is perfect, but I do not put that essential oil crap on my face.

Her dusty rose bronzer is the best pale woman bronzer I’ve ever used in terms of color, but it is pretty fragile and I’ve hit pan already.

I find it thick and greasy and it stays greasy all day. The color (Dusty Rose) is lovely in the pot but does little to enhance your color or give you a "glow." It is also hard to put on. It does not flow onto your skin and distribute evenly. Not worth the cost at all.

I bought it when it first came out, fairly early in the pandemic, and I was so shocked by how bad the product was that I contacted customer service on the first day to initiate a return. They told me I didn’t have to send it back and then they just refunded me. I wonder if they’ve had to change their return policy in light of how many people hate the MB. I also wonder how marked up their other products are in order to compensate for the all the people that return the MB.

I was disappointed. I loved BBC and it was the first real makeup I ever used.
