Pp, did you receive a letter/notice if not meet the criteria in 2nd grade back then? I wonder if parents get notified no matter what if it is a yes or no. What enrichment could 3rd grader get on math or/& language?
One very common example enrichment is separate math and reading groups with harder and more complex material.
But, as noted elsewhere, this is not implemented with fidelity across the system. Part of that is difficulty for teachers to spend time with GT students when there is not a large cohort/when the bulk of need is with other populations.
