I think that it’s important to note that you shouldn’t confuse Mink and the things she says with things being supported by Democrats, in general. It’s as bad as confusing the nuttiest thoughts of random Trump supporters with the ideals of all Republicans. She’s doesn’t represent Democrats, she represents a small subset of us. Most of us are a little more pragmatic…these are issues that we can with on/against together.
She represents Montgomery County Council District 5.
Do you think the people in her actual neighborhood of Woodmoor (heavily St Bernadettes people) are in to all of her far leftist positions? I doubt it. I bet most of them didnt even know her stances.
Yes, the area of SS she represents is filled with extreme far left weirdos. It's an extension of Takoma Park. No real sane Democrats.
Oh yes, Four Corners, White Oak, Hillandale, Fairland, Cloverly, Burtonsville, all widely known to be filled with extreme far left weirdos as an extension of Takoma Park.
Yup, exactly. A lotta performative crap in that area where everyone makes sure they have yard signs. Mom groups with half the moms having sleeves of tattoos and purple hair.
Many of the constituents in her district never have worked a real jobs in their lives and have always worked for the goverment or some lame think tank/community activist group.

Good news.
they don’t work though
They obviously do work. If they didn't work, people wouldn't complain about them.

a civil citation of still like a traffic ticket. You get given it by the police .Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Nobody thinks pretextural stops make sense.
DUI is a pretextual stop.
Stopping a car that smells like cannabis is pretextual stop. And it's one that almost always results in illegal gun confiscation.
A sheriff arrested Timothy McVeigh an hour or so after the Oklahoma City bombing because of a pretextual stop. McVeigh's car didn't have a license plate.
They can be abused.
But they can also be a great tool for keeping the community safe.
It's stupid to ban them outright.
Can you provide data to back this up? I'd be willing to venture that smelling cannabis is on its way to becoming a meaningless pretextual stop given the medical cannabis availability and the soon to be recreational availability. MoCo might still have more dispensaries than any other county in the state. The vast majority of these people are not folks with illegal guns.
Even cops support making cannabis a civil citation … it’s not a criminal stop.
What PP means is he uses the smell of c as n as his to harass black drivers who he suspects might have a gun based on the type of car/neighborhood/race.
