As we speak, China is meeting Russia to provide more war aid against Ukraine. Giving the Rusians micro chips, chemicals that can be made into ammunitions and cash in exchange for Russian gas.

Along mostly partisan lines, the Republicans relied on the tie breaking vote of republican lieutenant governor Winsome Sears, a woman of color.
Why do democrats want TikTok to remain on government issued devices in Virginia?
The vote here should have been unanimous.
Democrats seem to like the destruction of society. How come?

- VA Dem
Seems like VA Democrats have Youngkin living in their heads rent free because they are just going to oppose everything he does without thinking it through. He’s on the right side of this issue and the battery plant. If VA Democrats were smarter they would join Youngkin and make it bipartisan so that he cannot claim to be a leader on this issue.

Tell them Trump has a TikTok account.

You almost connected the dots but missed. Would having a “mind control device” not also be in China’s strategic interests?
Sure, but we have our own homegrown “mind control devices” that should also be banned/regulated.
Sure. But no one cares if Zuck is turning kids brains to mush for $$$. Maybe they should but they don’t. It’s a much different story when the Chinese are doing it, particularly since they can control what type of stupid to make people.
Zuck turned boomers’ brain to mush.
TikTok/SnapChat/YT have the kids.
Ban all of it. It’s all terrible for all of us.

The last time Republicans got all xenophobic about China, Michigan ended up with a new factory and a shit ton of jobs. So my guess is that since Democrats are better stewards of Virginia’s economy, their vote against this stupid legislation was intended to send a signal about it being a waste of time and a solution in search of a problem. Because I mean, really, how many employees were keeping TikTok on state-issued devices to begin with? I’m guessing next to none.
