What is it that you want?
Do you want the cheapest or the most value?
Cheapest: public
Max FA at an independent school
Parochial Catholic School
Sliding scale (Grace Episcopal, Indian Creek)
Small schools such as St. John's Episcopal in Olney or FCS
Moderate financial aid at an independent school
Catholic high schools
Some suburban campuses such as SSFS
Independent Schools
Most
Expensive: Boarding Schools
The question is what can you pay and what are you willing to pay. There is no secret amazing school that people are hiding that is cheaper.
If you would qualify for FA, that's what you should try for. It's much more understanding on the financial needs if this area than the FAFSA will ever be.
But maybe don't chastise posters for naming schools with tuitions $25k under the going rate. These posters are helping you knowing that all of this info is available to you and that your Google works just as well as theirs.
