I used her for the birth of my daughter who was born shortly after you posted this. I sent her a grateful email with a picture of the baby and she never responded, which surprised me because all the other professionals I worked with -- OB, MFM, acupuncturist, etc -- did.

Ah well. Still highly recommend her, although I did not find her to be on top of things, nor was I impressed with most of the staff. But in the end it worked out, which is most important.

Has she changed her email? Is her email posted anywhere.

Just curious.. how is MTHFR treated? The only thing I know is to take methyl folate pills instead of folic acid. Is there anything else?

She does a protocol that involves (depending on what mutations you have) blood thinner medication (Lovenox), steroid and intralipid infusions.

For those of you who had the extensive blood clotting panel done - did Abbasi go over the results with you? All of mine came back within normal range (I got a copy via Quest patient portal), but she didn't mention anything at all. She also forgot that I already tested positive for MTHFR which is the only reason I switched to her. I am a bit dismayed. I want to trust her, but at this point I am wondering if I should look elsewhere since I haven't started the stims yet.

I am also a bit ticked off that the nurse talks with me via the receptionist not directly in person. is that their typical mode of operation?

Was misdiagnosed by Abassi as well. Had 5 iuis with my tubes blocked. Waste of time.

I saw her many years ago ( I think before she was with Columbia) and she misdiagnosed me. Luckily the repercussions were not bad because of my situation at the time but it would've been a disaster if I would've stuck with her.

In all my cycles at CFA I never got the detailed information from nurses, it was only when talking directly w/ the doctors that I got counts, specifics, etc...

Abbasi was always great about giving me as much detail as I wanted.

When Abbasi did my count the other day she turned the screen toward me as she counted so I could watch.
Counted aloud so I knew how many for each side.
