It seems more of a community issue than a MCPS issue.
Even if the family never indulges in racial or ethnic slurs and promotes respect for all religions and cultures, I imagine some teenagers fall down the rabbit hole of the dark side of the internet. They get influenced by conspiracy theories and who knows what else.
Unless a student physically defaces a sign on MCPS property or says something offensive at school, I don’t believe MCPS has the legal authority to punish the student.

Subject: MCPS letter today - So sad this is still happening
One of the incidents was at our school and the entire community is up in arms, all sorts of programming, all sorts of messaging, etc. The kid is still in school, no suspension. So everyone suffers, mobilizes, I’m assuming gobs of money going into all the programming as a result of one kid’s actions, and that kid gets to stand by without any serious individual consequence. Where is the justice in all that?

The letter was well-intentioned but it ultimately felt toothless and empty. There isn't much specific or meaningful action MCPS is doing and this basically boiled down to telling parents to tell their kids to be nice.
This is stupid because:
1) Kids already know this and don't care. They're doing and saying outrageous things because they wrongly think it's funny and/or makes them edgy to their friends because they saw it on social media.
2) Kids are mimicking the antisemitic behavior and attitudes of their parents and family members
3) Kids now they can do outrageous and offensive things and not suffer serious or drastic consequences so there's no meaningful deterrent to this behavior
