Right. The person asked for "predictable, but fun" and I think it's fair for the person to point out that between the sweet parts in Lessons in Chemistry are some pretty dark scenes. You have to admit the rape scene was startling and her stabbing the guy was shocking.
Rape is always horrifying but the stabbing was wish fulfillment, is what it was.
