I would let her come home for the weekend but not a week and miss school. However, with free flights I'd fly up there and spend a few days with her as a compromise.

Your husband is wrong

OF COURSE you welcome your child home! I can’t imagine being turned away from my family when I need love and stability the most.

Haven’t read relies but let her come home. Last thing you need is getting back with a loser bechase she’s not strong enough.

+1 absolutely

Would absolutely have her home for the week. Is therapy or medication in the works to help her manage her anxiety long term.

It is perfect that when she is struggling, she tells you. And when she needs some TLC, , she looks to her family.

This is a big deal in her young life, and she is coping in a healthy fashion by reaching out to you.

(Your husband sounds sort of macho. Trust your instincts,)

If she really feels the need to come home, she will.

This is completely different. OP's kid is not in danger.

If my child is in pain s/he is always welcome to come home for a week. My home will always always be a haven, much needed in this tough world.
