I don't watch a lot of the fluff stuff but don't think he's annoying in the games at all, he always looks so calm and composed- despite the baby face I didn't realize how young he was until recently! So what if he has fun dressing up on gameday. Overall I find the group of younger QBs like Burrow, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Hurts, Tua, etc. exciting. I hope most can stay healthy!

I'm from Ohio but not a Cincy fan. My DC's family is though. So I'm loathe to say anything nice about Cincinnati. That said . . .

I don't find him obnoxious as a person. He seems pretty down to earth and genuine and people around him like him. HOWEVER, he needs some wardrobe advice (and hopefully he has a good financial manager), STAT. I think he must dress and pick out jewelry in the dark. We get it, you have money now. No need to dress so tacky and showy.

Down to earth? Have you ever heard him talk? And his “style” is not an accident of youth/inexperience. He dresses like an arrogant bro because that’s what he is. He got named to some fashion best dressed list— I don’t think it looks good but he dresses to attract attention to his clothes/persona and it’s effective.

Two really badly timed interceptions in a tight game. Bengals might still pull this out because Mahomes is hobbling around on one leg and a lot of other injuries, but Burrow is not the elite QB he thinks he is.

I grew up in Ohio dipsh--. I've heard him talk many times. He's extremely generous in the community and everyone who knows him at all says nothing but great things about him. His "fashion", well, it's very "new money" and is tacky.

As for his play, it speaks for himself. He didn't play as well as he normally does but, you know what, Mahomes (who I like) was in the same boat in the past. It happens. And, lbh, the refs heavily influenced that game. It was an appalling display of officiating. But, unfortunately, when you're also not playing your best, you're not going to make up for that, as well. The Bengals had a good run. Not my team. In fact, I pretty much despise Cincinnati teams but I do think they were not dealt a fair hand last night.

Calling strangers on the internet names is a weird way to establish your authority on whether or not someone is a decent person.

Blaming refs for the outcome in a hard fought game is also not an example of great sportsmanship and decency. There were calls that hurt both teams last night. The most decisive call in the game, the unnecessary roughness call on Cincy that put the Chiefs within field goal range to win it, was a good call. A tough one, because I respect Ossai was just playing hard at the end of the game and his momentum and a momentary lapse in judgement led to the call. But it was the right call -- Ossai shoved Mahomes in the back when he was already out of bounds. That's pretty much a textbook call. Even the Bengals knew it was the right call, given that Ossai was beating himself up pretty bad over it after the game and apparently one of his teammates was overheard berating him for it.

Cincinatti was dealt a perfectly fair hand last night. Better than fair -- the Chiefs two most critical players were playing injured. Playing in Kansas City is brutal (and I know Cincy fans will also whine about that but KC had the better record, even if Cincy had beat the Bills in the game that never happened) and the Chiefs are a team with a lot of playoff experience. It showed last night. Their veterans came through because they have been there before and know how to gut it out EVEN when you are not playing your best. Cincinnati looked like the talented but immature team that they are, and that includes Burrow. He thinks because he's been to the Super Bowl, he's a star. He's not. His performance last night showed that. If he wants to talk trash and behave the way he does in interviews, he better win games. I think Tom Brady is an arrogant, obnoxious QB also. But Brady kept winning Super Bowls when he was behaving like that, so it's harder to argue with.

How about Joe Burrow win an actual championship? Probably won't happen, to be honest.

DP and I'm not a fan of either team but the officiating crew was struggling big time. Like they had never worked in a loud stadium before. I also don't like the new rule about limiting challenges because the crews have gotten lazy, it's a bit bonkers that KC was out of challenges after successfully contesting the ball placement on that one drive.

I agree the officiating crew had a hard time with some bad calls, but think it went both ways so seeing Bengals fans blaming their loss on the officiating gets an eyeroll from me. The officials weren't great last night, but the Chiefs outplayed the Bengals by just enough to win the game. The officials didn't force the interceptions, didn't cause Burrow to get sacked on 3rd down with two minutes left in a tie game, and they definitely didn't blow the call on Ossai -- that was his mistake, and it gave KC a field goal with 8 second left. You can't blame the officials.

I was also confused about that KC challenge, did those rules change recently or have I just not been paying attention to playoff challenge rules lately? Why did KC lose a challenge when the review found the ball did cross the 1st down line, in which case the original call was wrong? It makes no sense.

Bad teams blame officiating, sorry. I might feel differently if they'd blown the call at the end of the game or if we were talking about scoring plays, but the complaints are all ticky tacky stuff about missed blocking calls and stuff and that ALWAYS happens. And it happens to both teams. All the "the refs gave the game to KC" comments are just sour grapes. Grow up.

(not even a KC fan, actually hate them as a rival, but was impressed by what they managed to do last night -- it was a gritty win)

Well, obviously penalties make a difference in close games. I can't profess to have read as many fan comments about the outcome but complaining about the officiating is certainly not unique to Bengals fans, and I thought Zac Taylor was pretty gracious after the game. That whole 3rd down replay was weird and confusing and Taylor had every right to be mad over that on the field...and overall I think both the Chiefs and Bengals coaches bellyache about penalties a lot less than someone like John Harbaugh or Bill Belichick, lol.

I was confused by the challenges too- I thought if you won a challenge you got it back? I've lost track of some of the rules apparently. I understand limiting challenges to keep he game moving but seems like they have the technology to resolve some of these a bit faster.

I agree that Cincy didn't play as well (I'm not a fan but did watch the game) and those things combined were a problem. However, you CAN blame the officials for some really egregious calls. Did it affect the ending? Strictly, no. But, it did affect momentum (the extra 3d down, for example). It was a bunch of blown calls and it should not happen.

Not PP but doubt it. Probably for the best with his attitude and injury rate. I read an article in the Post predicting he land in Atlanta. Just so long as he doesn’t go to another AFC north team that’s fine by me!

'Bitter Ravens Fan' here, and maybe I'm just being a naive homer, but I think he returns to BAL next year. Even if its the franchise tag.

Now, if they are the same point again 12 months from now, the 'franchise + trade him' outcome is much more likely.

But I do believe that Ravens team is SB quality. They did well with Linderbaum + Hamilton in the draft last year, and if they hit on a few more, this defense could be stacked.

So I think he's back for one more year for that SB run, but after that, its probably 50/50

This is not wrong, and I am not a Ravens fan. The Bengals have gotten fortunate with some flukey years last year and this year. They've gotten fortunate with injuries on opposing teams and schedule quirks.

I do think Burrow is talented but Cincinnati has a history of chewing up talented QBs. Something about the organization or the culture maybe, I'm not sure. As a team, Cincinnati always seems to overestimate itself in this weird way that hinders the teams success. They've had some incredible players over the years, a lot of really dynamic playmakers who have made the team fun to watch. But I think they lack a core stability that you need in a championship team. When you look at champions, they've often got this core of selfless players who just show up, do the job at an elite level, and put the team first. I think Cincinnati struggles to cultivate that attitude. You see it in the way Burrow often talks with a chip on his shoulder (dude, you've been the league three years and you've been to the AFC championship twice and the SB once -- you have not earned a chip!), the way the players were blaming each other after the game last night. Cincinnati's organization just does not seem to know how to cultivate the mindset you need to go all the way. They might still win a SB one year, anything can happen, but I don't view them as a perennial powerhouse even when they have very talented teams because there is something off about their DNA.

I actually think the team has been a LOT more stable under Zac Taylor. They had some crucial mistakes last night, culminating with the penalty on Ossai (who otherwise had a really good game) but honestly I'm not sure the offense would have pulled out a win in OT either. They decimated offensive line did pretty well vs. Buffalo but clearly struggled last night to protect Burrow. That needs to be a priority going forward because otherwise (and it was this year but the untimely injuries to the OL really cost them).

I find it funny that Burrow seems to trigger so many people and hope he and the ret of the team takes the loss as motivation going into next season.

If you think Mahomes is more arrogant and obnoxious than Joe Burrow, you must not follow football. Burrow is the Bryce Harper of the NFL (and similarly ring-less).

There is nobody in football more arrogant and obnoxious than Patrick Mahomes (and I'm sure I've watched more football than you have).

Mahomes has a Super Bowl ring and was SB MVP. When you do that, you get to be more arrogant. Joe Burrow has not earned it.

So you agree with me then.

I don’t.

I think Burrow is more obnoxious than Mahomes by a lot, but if you think Mahomes is worse then Brady or Rogers, you are insane.

Though, again, those guys have earned some leeway to be arrogant. Burrows has not.

Mahomes has exactly the same number of SB rings as Aaron Rodgers, and after this year will have appeared in three (in a fraction of the time) while Rodgers has only one appearance. He's got a lor more right to be arrogant that Aaron.

I agree, and yet Mahomes is not as arrogant as Rogers.

But Joe Burrow is more arrogant than either of them even though he has one Super Bowl and no rings. It is baffling.
