Students peeking out of/propping open side doors could allow anyone to access the building. It makes the entire building unsafe.
And on the flip side, the drivers are forced to be complicit or lose their job from negative reviews by students breaking the rules.
It's selfish from all angles.

NP — just curious why parents aren’t allowed in? At our ES parents can volunteer for lunch duty to give the teachers a break. And they’re allowed to bring food and eat with their child if it’s a special day like their birthday. Parents of course have to sign in at the office and scan their license before getting a visitor sticker that is printed out with their name and photo on it.
Teachers have a duty free lunch even without parent volunteers. It’s in their contract.
