Because they are both of these things. Private kids do tend to excel in certain areas - more polished. I say this as a public school kid that has very wealthy private school kids now and yes there is a difference. Plus public schools have violence and other things that privates do not.
Private kids are more polished and tend to present in a different way not always but I can easily spot private and public kids. It is tb e way they carry themselves and speak to adults. Why are you obsessed with private school forum of your kids are not at privates?

Is this the school that had an overdose /death last year? So sad. And they do do something- they charge a lot of money for the shed.
Why don't they just take the shed down?

As a former private school lifer OP, this is not surprising to me. I was a poor scholarship nerd, so wasn't offered free drugs. I would not send my kids to most private high schools for this reason alone.
You obviously have not spent time at our public high school.
+100
The publics are in crisis near us. Teachers fleeing and crime and violence and drug use in school up. My kids (Jr and Freshmen) haven't experienced any of this at their private Catholic high school. In fact, it was a big reason we moved them out of public school after 8th grade. Obviously, it will vary where you live.

What is AHC?

St Andrew's has parents that allow their kids and their friends to drinks at their house, but they pretend it doesn't happen.
