The word is “gristly,” for one, and for another, try another bag. It’s like gristle roulette but when it’s good, it’s very good. We also add peppers and onions to the pan and then serve with rice, too.

The shaved beef is suggested for use to make cheesesteaks, but I make a quicker Mississippi “Roast” - water, buttermilk powder, dried dill, salt, pepperoncini juice, and butter. I gently cook it in liquid first then frizzle it in the butter.

I just tried the frozen bulgar pilaf with feta cheese and butternut squash.

It was pretty good, and a change from our usual sides.
