Wrong actually.
And for god's sake Elon did not invent Tesla. He could not invent a simple fan.
exactly. I stated this upthread, too. The idea was not his original idea. Also, I read some where a while ago that he started Tesla purely to impress a woman.
He doesn't really care about green house emissions. Please. He moved to a state that supports big oil and has laws about selling EVs directly. In order to buy a Tesla in TX you have to get it out of state.
Yet, Musk still lives in TX. Why? Because he knows people will still buy them, though tides may be turning.
In the history of Tesla, omg people Musk did not invent any technology ever.
He stole Tesla from its original makers. He went to court over and over again just like Don The Con actually Elon credits his court acumen to Dump.
College degree hahahahahaha Standford the DCUM school lied for him lost in court lied again lost again. Stanford is a crap school this is a fact. How they handled this situation was atrocious.

Omg who cares. That's like saying Howard Hughes had no impact on aviation because he didn't invent flight and the aircraft. It takes more than just inventing something, it takes a business magnate mind to change the world with new ideas as well because you still need to commercialize and develop new inventions even if they were invented by someone else. Inventing something new is one thing, but going out raising capital, and developing the means of production on an industrial scale to get new technologies widely adopted is a whole different beast. Just because Elon didn't invent Tesla's technology doesn't mean anything. Do CEOs of pharmaceutical companies all personal invent the therapies they sell? No.
Dumb argument.
DP. I mean, so what? Lots of car makers were developing electric cars when Mush came along, they continued to develop and raise capital and "develop the means of production" to "commercialize" and launch their electric cars. Musk is special because... he's a pos.

Anonymous wrote:You guys arguing about the “ethics” are missing the point. From a business perspective, the problem is just that Tesla is associated with Musk and that’s unpleasant for most of us so we’re just less likely to buy the cars. It just puts them farther away from selling one to me, which benefits their competitors and costs them money and growth. I think the mostly likely thing is that he’ll step down from any executive role at Tesla, because that would go a long way to fixing the problem for Tesla whereas stepping down from Twitter doesn’t fix the debt or the fundamentals.

You know that EV wasn't an original idea, right? You should read up on the history of EVs.
Also, Tesla wouldn't have made it without CA subsidies, basically, paid for by CA taxpayers. And then he did a big FU to CA and moved to a state that had laws not favorable to sales of EVs because why? TX lawmakers are just as big of a douchebag as Musk is. People in CA started to hate him, and now hate him even more after the Twitter fiasco.
Why on earth would you support an outright douchebag?
No one is perfect, but there are degrees to being a first rate ahole. Like, I wouldn't vote for Trump. And I wouldn't buy a Tesla because it enriches Musk.
Sometimes a person can't help but buy a product because they don't have that many choices. But, now a days, there are so many other choices for an EV, why support a first rate ahole like Musk?
And I'm not even a liberal.
We already bought the cars - we should sell them (at a loss, according to the people on this thread) and buy EVs with inferior charging networks to signal our own virtue? Please. I’m not that insecure that I need people’s validation.
How many of you are on Facebook? I’d take Musk over Zuckerberg any damn day. Unhinged is one thing, outright sociopath is another.
Indeed.. I hate FB. I only use it because the activity that my DC is on uses that as the primary communication avenue. Like I said, sometimes you have no choice but to use a certain product, but I certainly don't pay for FB.
No one is saying you should sell your car at a loss. Just saying that there are other options for EV. Why enrich that ahole. It's like choosing to stay at Trump resorts rather than other resorts. Would you do that?
Anonymous wrote:This is funny because in my circle it’s now an outlier to not have a Tesla. Nearly everyone I know with less than three kids has one, and Elon is the reason.

Go look up videos of other companies' EV performance while hauling or in cold weather. THEY SUCK.
You can hate on, but Tesla by far and away has the most experience at making batteries, and they're the best at it right now.
I have zero skin in the game and don't own an EV.
