I agree. We should not be talking about a specific player. But I would point out that a Potomac parent put the individual out there originally by crowing that she had transferred from SR to Potomac. Everyone should stop.

Geez, show some class and lay off the poor kid.

Ha. Shows what you know. Gary Morgan is infamous in the goalie community and his head will soon chase other goalies out of their goalie room as it grows bigger. SR is on the decline for that alone. Good luck!

I’m so sorry to hear it was your DD who couldn’t handle the rigorous academics at SR and being criticized and told she wasn’t all that and had to move to Potomac to see the field.

Evidently you have zero clue. Starting goalie at SR transferred to Potomac.

Seems like GC should been included in the mix

Based on what? They lost a lot.

GC parent here and not surprised we are not ranked for that reason but we will be. Lost 14-12 to SPSG Thursday and beat SR pretty handedly Saturday. SR ranking is a head scratcher though based on last year's results.

SR is a different team this year with a noticeable loss to Potomac in cage.

Interesting comment considering the little difference the transfer is adding to Potomac’s defense against Holy Cross.

Any player who transfers from SR to a team like Potomac can’t be that great.

They did I watched that game I think Holy Cross may be a surprise team this year not winning the WCAC but will for sure keep games closer than what people may think. With the new/returning coach, they just seemed more organized and just all together a different team from last season when I saw them play. Offensively they really shared the ball around well compared to last season when I saw them it tended to get to one player and everyone else just backed off and watched her play clearly not that way now. The starting goalie gave up I think 13 in a little over a half the backup came in and gave up I think 2 in about 15-20 minutes of play.

Totally agree. It’s way too early to call the season. People tend to zoom in on one or a few players and forget it’s a team sport. Well coached team with great team climate always prevail in the end. Do not underestimate teams like SSSA. They might appear to have a down year with talent on paper but a good coach will get the girls to play as a team. On the contrary, teams that recruit queen bees heavily will find themselves fall short in critical movements.
