+1 seriously. We have to go to Clan of the Cave Bear, which gave me secret tinglies at 12?! There is so much written since then. We passed around the sleeping beauty chronicles like starved people 30 years ago in college. We must be able to do better! (I say we meaning you because I don't read much explicit stuff any more-- some things on kindle like the greek god series. I'll look it up if necessary but I'm sure there's SO. much newer and better out there!


Come on you’re not going to find anything better than the Sleeping Beauty series. It’s Anne Rice at her most pervy. Classic books don’t get outdated because time has passed.

Not That Complicated, by Isabel Murray.

This was a surprisingly good read. It’s funny, there are some explicit scenes, and it’s a a well written romance. Made Isabel Murray an auto buy for me (she writes in many different genres, this one is contemporary).

Part of the blurb: “If this was your classic Cotswolds murder mystery (it’s not) and Ray was an amateur detective (he isn’t) then when he stumbles across something unexpected under his bedroom floor, he’d investigate the hell out of it.

Hard pass.

Ray’s just a thirtysomething graphic designer with a broken heart who doesn’t much like his life right now.
