I just started drinking warm lemon water first thing but no honey.

I'm trying that right now. Not just to keep my DJ resolution, but because I have a really crappy cold and it sounds wonderful. I'm having it hot.

Yep! You will look younger by Jan 31. I'm a twice a week drinker and see the difference.

I over did it last night. Terrible. I have not been hung over like this in years.

I’ve downloaded the reframe app, and joined the dry January and 31 day challenges. I have no problem taking time away from drinking, but also slip into a daily habit quite easily as well. I’m really hoping to lose a few pounds too.

Sparkling water in a can works as a beer replacement for me—cracking open a can gives me a Pavlovian “time to relax” feeling.

Hang in there everyone!

Alcohol used to be a huge huge part of my life. Nothing bad happened but over the last few years I cut back substantially. Now I have 2 drinks a week max. I’m on the other side and don’t even care about alcohol. Dry January would be NBD. Life is better with minimal (or no) alcohol and not having it be something to even think about. You can get there too.

It's fine. The mouthfeel of something sparkling helps to temporarily satisfy a craving and distract you, especially the first few weeks you abstain from alcohol.
