This was the first book I read in 2020 and I blame myself for the Pandemic.

I also read it for the first time in late 19, early 20 and found it to make the whole pandemic onslaught extra surreal

FWIW, Station 11 did not show up as a result on B&N website when I typed in Station 22. I appreciated the correction.

I came here to say this. Of all the YA dystopia I've read (and it's a lot), this is the series that stuck with me and felt the most original.

Frighteningly possible.

Station 11, not 22

Yeah that's called a typo. I'm so glad you raised it as an issue though, shows what a deep thinker you are and what you have to contribute.

I'm not the PP who corrected the title but IMO the correction is legit. There was not attitude in that post and you totally overreacted.

Correcting any OBVIOUS typo is anal.

NP here. It's only obvious to people who know the book. Here I was thinking Station 11 had a sequel.

You are contradicting yourself

Please tell me how? I just put Station 11 on hold and thought there might be a Station 22

Np - yes, if you are recommending a book and misstate the title, that’s not really negligible 🙄

The reviews are a little vague. How does it handle there’s around immigration?

It's been a while, but there is definitely "immigration" in the sense of people fleeing across borders. Except that the borders are not nation states or countries, they are feudal territories controlled by drug lords. I suppose the "Farm Patrols" would be analogous to CPB, and they are pretty nasty characters.

I teach teenagers and the Scythe trilogy is SO GOOD. Like even adults enjoy it.

The Stand, Parable of the Sower, Severance, Station 11 are all good suggestions.

I was going to say Scythe, even though it’s YA. I LOVED it, as did my tween boys

I would say yes for Station 11. I think my concern for a 13 year old would be the graphic sexual violence in the books in this thread that I have read.
