Yes but the time of year here matters. Both are going to be wretched at the time of year OP wants to take this trip. I suggested Tulsa earlier and see others mentioning OKC. Still gonna be cold but that’s more off the beaten path and less frigid than the northeast corridor in February.

I went to Oklahoma City for the first time recently and was surprised how much I liked it. There are a couple new/cool hotels, good museums, and great restaurants.
