Because you want to take your limited PTO for vacation instead of child care? Is that hard to understand? Or, as is the case for a lot of people, they use PTO to do things like doctor's appointments, not vacation.

Inspired teaching is just requiring masks for the first week and testing the first day back. Virtual is a joke I’d be pissed

I am a teacher in another school division and have to work that week so my kids will go to their old day care and probably pick up a bunch of viruses there because they will be surrounded by snotty nosed babies and toddlers. No virtual “learning” for them.
