How to say you are white without actually saying you're white.

Maybe a couple FCYBL/lower level AAU players on some teams, but appears to be mostly former rec players.
Which high school?
Marshall, Langley, McLean, Chantilly, Herndon, and the Arlington schools. This was consistent across all the schools we saw (maybe with the exception of 1, W&L, IIRC) -- 2 or 3 FCYBL/lower AAU players and the rest were rec level.

What teams did you try out for? That will help answer your question.

Don’t wait until they advertise for tryouts. Reach out early and try to find a team beforehand. It’s better to choose a team, than to look for a team that’s willing to choose your kid.

I will say the first thing to know is AAU term is often used incorrectly. AAU is a basketball organization that have clubs in it but not all club bball teams are under AAU.
I am a high school parent of a boy at a private school that has played in Under Armor Circuit as well as Adidas.
Does anyone have any particular questions that haven’t been answered?
I don’t know as much about NoVa but will say the hottest NOVA boys team right now is DNA Elite.
That’s what some people are saying, but not necessarily true. Team Durant’s high school teams are in Springfield. DNA advertises good training which attracts people, they have some type of basketball school for kids are reclassifying, and they are attracting talent. Expect to pay hefty fees over there though. There are a couple NOVA teams just as good and even better in my opinion.
Having one or two age groups practice at the St James once a week does not make the team a Nova team. But okay. DNA club fees are the same as most club teams.
The high school teams workout at st James.
