But could also be that he's shoveling money into twitter to keep it alive after ad revenue cratered. Or he knows something about Tesla's prospects and wants to get out now. Whatever it is, it's not good for Tesla shareholders.
TSLA is valued on the assumption that it will continue to have the EV market to itself. Every manufacturer now has an EV and Rivian and Lucid are both competing in the luxury EV category. FSD is a dud and competitors are either just as far along or ahead of tesla

Tesla is an outstanding car, and even though there are competitors, they lack Tesla's appeal. We onky drive Teslas now, other EVs just arent the same. The plaid x is the fastest accelerating SUV on the market, EV or otherwise. People looking for a fun luxury ride arent leaving tesla anytime soon.
And yet I'm seeing more and more Lucid EVs on the road around here. It will become the new status car around here in the next year or so.
I was just outside my workplace parking garage in Rockville and there are about 20 free charging stations. I see 19 Tesla and 1 Chevy Volt. I saw the same at my other remote office in Los Angles that Tesla outnumbers other EVs by 20 to 1. Tesla is not going anywhere anytime soon.
