14 out of 79 is 18% of the graduates go to Ivy League schools. They also sent 11 to the University of Chicago.

That can't be right, just in 2022? A third of the the grade went to Ivy+ schools? And more than 10% of the entire grade going to U Chicago? Are you sure you're not including numbers for the last 3 years, or last 5 years, or something?

This is just 2022. STA sends 8 or so to UChicago every year in recent years, and more last year.

This is likely acceptances, not actual matriculation. Regardless, it’s very impressive.

It is matriculations. They had 11 boys matriculate to Chicago this fall.

Oh, wow, well University of Chicago is an excellent school. It’s right up there with the ivy leagues. I will say it is kind of surprising that 33% of the class is going to the same school but why not because it’s a great one! (even if it is a bit conservative)

And keep in mind, when looking at “acceptances” is versus actual matriculation, that the brightest students might apply to several ivy leagues and also top schools and those particular kids could get into all of them, and then choose to go to Harvard. And all of that particular students’ acceptances will show up on an acceptances list. That could skew things. Having said that, as I said before, this is school is still impressive!

As others have mentioned this is just 2022, but other years have seen similar. In the last five years or so about 8-12 boys per year go to U Chicago.

I am not the previous poster but yes these numbers are correct and are for last year only 2022. 14 boys went to ivies from STA last year and an additional 11 went to University of Chicago from 2022. So the answer is yes.

new poster. That was 2022 only, there was also Duke x 2, Amherst x 3, etc.

NP here and you forgot 1 to Brown. Yes those are 2022 numbers, including the 11 UChicago. Small class, so not hard to hear about this stuff. And they were not all hooked kids, which you can look up online (signed athletes went to Brown, Dartmouth, and UChicago of the schools we are discussing).

Yes because it is a well known rule that if you graduate from an Ivy you can only send your kids to private school.

I’m honestly embarrassed for you that the glaring holes in your logic aren’t obvious to you.

But we all know that all the kids at STA who get in are either athletes or legacies and the kids who get in from the rich, suburban W schools are scrappy, hard-working intellectuals who are just smarter than everyone else.
