I'd give each member a $50.00 visa or amex gift card.

Send nothing.

She sounds annoying. Ask her if she wants to stop exchanging gifts, and if she says no, then ask her for gift ideas.

Send the young adults cards with twenty bucks in them. Send her a box of chocolate. Done.

Thank you, but I don’t eat anything that has even a passing acquaintance with sugar, thank you, but I already have plenty of gloves, thank you, but I don’t really care for plants, flowers, etc.

I just stopped sending her things. Although, near the end, my spouse and I would try to guess ahead of time what she would find to criticize about this year’s gift, haha. Difficult people are just going to be difficult, no matter how hard you try.

Why is it “difficult” to not want MORE STUFF? We all have too much stuff and too much food. STOP with the incessant gifts if the recipient clearly does not want them! Ugh, you are like my MIL who gets me ridiculous crap like bedazzled nail files. FFS. STOP.

Well, this particular sibling was still sending stuff to me and my children at the time, so appeared to be on board with the idea of gifts. Even made an announcement at one point that she had decided that her birthday was her priority and that she preferred birthday gifts to Christmas gifts. So, it wasn’t crazy to think that she enjoyed getting gifts. Just apparently not any gift that I picked out, haha.

I love these and send frequently. People always eat fruit.

Do adults really eat that much fruit? It’s only kids I see eating fruit.
