DS1: turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, cornbread dressing, broccoli, rolls, key lime pie, polite bites of other things, will try the homemade mac & cheese but won't like it

DS2: cornbread or rolls, chocolate pie, a few bites of turkey

Oldest/DS9 will eat one roll, two bites of turkey, and some baby carrots from the crudites tray. Will ask for cookies for dessert.
Youngest/DD6 will eat a tiny bite of everything and then ask for dessert. She will house pie until we pry her from the table.

M kid is 10, last year she had her tonsils out the week of Thanksgiving so couldn’t eat anything. I think she maybe had potatoes and gravy. She’s very excited about the turkey, gravy, potatoes, sweet potatoes if someone makes them, and broccoli and pea….. then pecan pie for our first dessert. Then when we leave there to go visit another family Kim been ask to take dirt cake so that’s what I’ll do.?

We have decided we don’t like turkey, no mostly side dishes.
They like stuffing, corn soufflé, mash potatoes and desserts

Both my kids are teens and don’t like Thanksgiving food, even though they are not generally picky eaters. They will eat mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce and biscuits. Ham if it is offered. They won’t touch the turkey or dressing or any of the other traditional dishes. One of them will eat pumpkin pie. They both hate apple pie. Where did I go wrong?!

My 3 (ages 14-8) range from very picky to not at all picky, but all of them have an odd aversion to pie. Something about the texture of the fruit freaks them out. I think this year I might also put out a little cheese dessert board with pieces of bread and jam on it as a pie alternative.

Definitely bread. And also some butter. The inside of the pumpkin pie if it’s not “spicy”. All the cheddar off the cheese tray.
