Easy to spell, easy to pronounce, these are the names of my Indian friends’ kids ages 2-10.

I’m not sure what generational name trends are in Indian names. For example among all the parents we know almost half are named Sarah, Kristin, Kate, Chris, Steve, or Mark. I don’t know a single child my children’s age with those names. When I was in college I feel like half of the Indian girls I knew were named Anjali and half of the guys were named one of several names that shortens to Raj.

I have met someone with the last name Kerani. I think it's pretty and could see someone using it as a first name in a nontraditional way.

I've never heard of the name Mekara but it is pretty. I'd want to know more about it before using it.

I didn't post these names and I am not Indian but I have a friend from India (like actually from India, not born in the US to Indian parents) whose name is Neetu.
