How strong is your DD. Many top schools give generous financial aid. Use the net price calculators. Pitt Honors college gives I think 40 full ride chancellors scholarships. UNC Chapel Hill has the morehead scholarship, but you need to be nominated by your school.
Clemson only offered my 4.0/1500 kid in in-state tuition. It’s something but not much compared to others.

Clemson apparently tops out at about $12,500 per year or so.

I think, however, that the gpa alone is not going to do it, your student will also need top test scores
USC gives half tuition scholarships to national merit finalists.
USC half tuition is still incredibly expensive
USC half tuition is about 32,000, that is $20,000 less than UVA OOS tuition.

Anonymous wrote:University of Kansas has a chart online of merit aid. Looks good for 4.0 OOS student given its relatively low tuition. They people I know who went there really liked it.

OP here. Yes, we are in DC so no state schools here. But sadly we don’t qualify for any financial aid. We are in that weird place where our salaries are just slightly too high, but we aren’t really able to save much for college either.
Thanks for all the school suggestions..really helpful!
