And that's how our system of democracy comes to end.

When push comes to shove he'll fold to the right wing nut jobs. His writing in "Reagan" was frankly a lame.
And can we kill the myth that Hogan was a decent governor please? He engaged in so much self dealing and worked to enrich himself as much as Trump would, plus he killed or harmed public transportation projects that would have benefited the state. What jobs came to Maryland as a result of Hogan? Did he ever do anything successful? Wasn’t his big purchase of Covid tests a scam? Everything he ever did was a scam. He’s a mini Trump. At least Raskin has actually done things.
Nah, he was good. You sound like one of his loud twitter critics who were mad he played goalie against some of the general assemblies' crazier ideas. Good thing 71% of residents disagree with you.
Instead of ad hominem attacks, why don’t you explain what was so “good” about him? Did he get any new jobs in MD? Did he save any money? Did he do anything? Why is the bar for Republicans so low that “not an insurrectionist traitor” is sufficient to become a United States Senator?
He was pretty good on covid policy. The state got and has maintained its AAA bond rating for the first time in almost 30 years.
He didnt raise taxes, unlike MOM. Purple line will be completed.
Also, Hogan was governor while the national economy was booming, O’Malley was governor during a catastrophic recession where people lost enormous wealth and that impacted the state’s coffers greatly. You can’t just pretend there is no context. Hogan is kind of a nothingburger, and his stance on abortion will probably doom him anyway.
Oh yes, good old governor O’Malley! I especially loved it when he taxed THE RAIN.
But only for some, not for everyone. And it was mostly Montgomery County.
Was he “taxing the rain” for funsies or was he taxing the rain because the REPUBLICANS manufactured an economic catastrophe?
Context MATTERS.
What policies do Republicans support that will make MY life better?
Persecuting immigrants doesn’t make my life better.
Persecuting trans kids doesn’t make my life better.
Making abortion illegal doesn’t make my life better.
Lowering taxes on rich people doesn’t make my life better.
Blowing up middle eastern countries doesn’t make my life better.
Don’t vote Republican- they have no plans to make your life better!
Your poor. I'm rich. Republicans have made my life better.

While this is true
Raskin helped save democracy and actually, Hogan did similar on Jan 6th. However, since then Hogan if he could have would do an abortion ban and a contraceptive ban so hell no to Hogan. Hogan is my governor I was a Republican when I voted for him.
I will never in my life vote for a Republican ever again. The Democratic candidate can be shit and I would never give that party a vote.
Republicans killed over 1 million Americans with their lies, stole taxpayers hard earned monies, and siphoned off 9/11 funds in NY to the tune of $4 million. The fact Republicans want to take our social security and all civil rights away is a reason to never vote for one again including Hogan. Most importantly Republcians are still fueling lies to kill off Democracy. That alone is what our Military dies for I for one will never ever trust a Republcian again. Even in this voting cycle they sued to have MILITARY VOTES not count. What AMERICAN PATRIOT does that?
Most importantly Raskin is an amazing human all the time. Hogan not so much.
Actually the Republicans killed one million Iraqis maliciously before they killed 1 million Americans by negligence- if only you had cared you could have come to the same realization sooner! The reason we have so many devastated veterans is the wars of choice cooked up by Republicans that stole people’s lives and our country’s wealth.
Please stay in MoCo and keep your BS with you

Explain? I think he will be supported by Democrats until he decides to retire.
With Van Hollen in the other seat, MD Dems from Baltimore might not be too keen on having two white men from MoCo.
Presuming that Cardin is stepping down, the hypothetical primary race would be Raskin, Calvin Ball and Mfume. Maybe Anthony Brown and Jawando also jump in. The only way Raskin wins the primary is Black voters get split 3-4 ways. However, he might also have to beat someone like O’Malley too, who could also run. I have a hard time seeing how Raskin would have broad appeal outside MoCo. He would basically have the Tom Perez coalition and we all see how well that worked for Perez.
Could be Angela Alsobrooks too.
Also Johnny O, in Baltimore County.

John Sarbanes wouldn't want to run for his father's former seat?
