Don't like fruitcake, but I ADORE a christmas pudding (aka plum pudding).
My kids give it the side eye, but I will eat the whole damn thing myself.

Did you get suet? That's my secret ingredient

No, we’re a vegetarian household.

I have friends who are vegetarians for environmental reasons that make an exception for suet. It's so much less environmental impact to use suet, which will otherwise be thrown out, rather than an oil that has to be processed and shipped from afar.

I like the little brick ones with the red paper around it, leave it uncovered to make it dry out more.

I regularly pick up Claxton fruitcakes during holiday season from The Comissary.

NP. This is the only kind I can eat. We received one from my grandmother every Christmas, and after she died, my aunt. Now everyone is dead, so no more fruitcake for me.

YUM. Thank you. I'm going to try this. (But it's not in the fruit cake genre, just because it has raisins in it. It looks like regular cake.)

Hers had raisins, cherries and nuts. No citron. SO good.

The Trappists in Kentucky make one. But their fruitcakes are a little heavy on the bourbon.
