Now I'm in my 40s and so nostalgic for that nerdy girl... I wonder where she would have ended up on the other timeline.

I was a nerd, and went to a magnet schools full of nerds. Good times.

I’m sure most people would recall me as a nerd. Captain of mathletes and scholastic bowl teams, but also a three sport captain. Never dated anyone, didn’t go to most of the parties, and basically wore pajamas everyday.

I wasn’t in high school. I had a lot of friends, liked going out, was in honors classes and had a high GPA. I was really into clothes and spent a long time on my appearance.

I am more of a nerd now. I am the complete opposite. A total introvert who isn’t into clothing at all. I hate spending money on expensive clothes and am doing a version of a work uniform, where you basically wear the same thing every day. I don’t wear make up and don’t care about hair or keeping up. DC changed me over the years. I am more cynical and keep to myself. I really only enjoy hanging out with the husband and kids.

You can’t tell anything from high school.

Well I did honors and some AP classes but I wasn't so deeply into them burning the midnight oil like some of my classmates (only top 20% of the graduating class). However, I had a bf my senior year who went to a different HS and he was one of those who only took on grade level courses and partied all the time, so I'm sure he thought I was nerdy.

My first thought was, nope. I was in lots of varied high school groups, from the math club to the dance squad. Also was friends with the most popular kids. But now when I think of it, I think my popular friends considered me a nerd but were friends with me anyway. I guess it’s all relative. Maybe I was a cool nerd.

No, but I wasn’t popular however most of my friends were and still are very popular. I was kinda just there .

I have to say yes since I was in Science Olympiad, wore a t-shirt for the state championship to school, and hung out with that crowd. But I also played 3 varsity sports and went to weekend parties.

No. Dance team, lots of friends (that I am still close with today), partied a lot on weekends, had a MUCH older boyfriend. I was secretly miserable though, and always felt lonely. Mom had cancer so I feel like this affected everything- my parents were basically checked out. Good grades, I now have a great career and family. Married a nerd. Nerds are great.

It depends on the school. I went to two high schools. In on of them, the athletes got into the best colleges. In the other, they hardly went to college at all. They really were the dumbest of the bunch.
