Subject: Urban Dictionary for the 70s and 80s
Oh my God, you guys, I’m like so totally crushing on Shane! He asked me to *go* with him!
(I remember “having a boyfriend” in 6th grade in 1980 and explaining the perplexing term of “going with a boy” to my parents)
Guys and girls were “foxy” as in , Scott Baio is so foxy! I love his feathered back hair.
“Feathered back” hair! We all knew what this was!
I recall signing yearbooks as BFF (best friends forever) and LYLAS (love ya like a sister) in 1978. Of course I wrote LYLAS or Love in giant “bubble letters” and drew each letter to look like a balloon eleven with a # in a corner of the L to look like a reflection.Very trendy!

I am the OP and just want to say I am totally loving this thread. It is bringing back so many goofy memories. It's so awesome to see so many cool dudes and dudettes and my fellow nerds and dorks posting and like um I just wanna thank you. Please keep posting and I hope you all have a totally rad and awesome Friday and weekend. Retro rules! If our only our kids realized how cool we are. I am so not a fossil and I don't live in the dark ages gosh darnit.
