Old White Flint included Laura Ashley (I still remember how the store smelled!) and Belle France. That’s where all the private school girls shopped for cotillion dresses in 8th grade. Plus Bloomies, Lord & Taylor, and I Magnin.

There was a fancy dress shop in the corner of Via Rialto—the area where Cheesecake Factory, Bertuccis, etc were added after the reno.

There was a fun totally 80s shop that sold jelly bracelets, neon socks, etc. It was also in Via Rialto across from a toy store.

There was a record store.

And back in the 1970s/early 80s, there was a kids clothing store that was really orange. It had a cool play structure with blue carpet with a tv and slide.

Cheesecake Factory is not old white flint. Old white flint was I Magnum, the cobble stone street scape tucked away on the ground floor and the foriginal food court with mushroom decor, fish and chips, individual hand tossed pizza and Chinese chicken salads.

This is what I remember when I think of White Flint. That fancy lamp-lighted cut through. Most of my memories of that place were before any Cheesecake Factory, Borders, or Dave and Busters. Mostly nostalgia for the movies I saw there (First date was to see The Great Outdoors and yes we shared a frosty at the Wendy’s because I was a classy AF 5th grader)

When I was in my 20s it used to have a nice variety of shops. I liked the Bloomingdales. In later years I remember the train they had run through the mall around Christmas-time for the children.

I went to movies there a lot in the late 90s and would wander over to Borders.

As a kid born in the 70s, White Flint was my everything. We went there all the time. Does anyone remember the super elaborate Christmas decorations with the reindeer and elves that moved around?
We also thought the Eatery was the height of sophistication!

I remember when the giant borders went in (I think replacing the I Magnin). I spent hours then, but always ended up going to the super crown in the strip mall next door to actually buy books

Yes! WF was the fancy 80's mall, and Montgomery Mall was (IMO) kind of run down (Woolworths or GC Murphy's in the lower level??)
Got one of my first department store credit cards at I Magnin. Saw Sly Stallone shopping there one evening on either the 23rd or 24th of December (was doing last minute shopping with my then BF). Loved that mall!
