I remember about 20 years ago, some girls in Dallas were complaining to a local department store that the clothes they were stocking were not appropriate.

Perhaps the solution for swimming is for an administrator to take the fall and sell tickets advertising it as a peep show.

THANK YOU. This entire thread makes me want to throw up. Club (PVS)/Summer (NVSL) mom here. My daughter is not a small girl by any definition of the term. However, there are exactly two (2) types of suits that she is allowed to wear for meets: her team suit and her tech suit. Tech suits are meant to be super tight and cut extremely high. No, not because they're trying to be skimpy. It's to prevent the water from rushing into the suit when they are streamlining. It's the same reason my son wears briefs to a meet. Some girls with less defined derrieres fit nicely in these suits. My daughter is not one of those girls. Unfortunately there are no other options for her. So yes, you might see some cheek at a meet if that's what you so choose to stare at. Yes, I will post pictures whenever she beats her pool record and/or places at all stars because I am proud of her accomplishment. If that bothers you, that's your problem. Not mine. Not my daughter's.

As a woman with a long torso, I can confirm one piece swimsuits are not made for us. I can't wear one unless I want my butt cheeks hanging out.

I recall a prominent US swimming calling people out for body shaming her. I looked at the photo and she seemed to have a swimsuit for someone less less 5'2" while she was well over 6 feet. It looked like a thong.

Surely swimsuit companies can make suits with coverage and for longer torsos.

I dislike watching skating where the costumes ride up, and that does seem to be a matter of design and construction, because other skaters wear costumes that don't ride up.

Exposed butt cheeks from teen and 20-something gals is all over Facebook. Not exposed cheeks, but you even see female golfers purposely showing off their butts in “golf” photos.
