Yep. Came from a kind of behind the times company with an average age probably in the late 40s... lots of email etiquette. Now at a tech company and none of that. Look at what your peers and bosses are doing OP.

I used to do Thanks. I switched jobs and decided to give that shit up.

No closure. Just the email and depending on audience, my signature. It works because we are a Slack-heavy culture, so more clipped messages are the norm. My last company was email heavy.

Usually “thanks” or a dash by my name. On Fridays, depending on who, it’s usually “Have a great weekend!”

Regards unless there is something I should actually be thanking the recipient for, in which case I end it with thanks.

It’s a military thing, although the correct version is “V/r” because the second word wouldn’t be capitalized.

I work in a very dysfunctional organization so I start group emails with ‘Hi Team’ because no one actually works together or collaboratively. It’s my middle finger in the air to their foolishness
