The actual composite scores being ranked are 55 and 56. There are a bunch of schools tied at a rank of 137 with a score of 56 and a bunch then tied at a rank of 151 with a score of 55. Focusing on rankings is ridiculous. Do you really think there is a meaningful difference in a 55 vs a 56?

I don't have experience with any of these schools except 1, and I have to give a big "shout out" to William and Mary. My out of state son started there in August, and he loves it. He comments on the friendliness of the campus and smartness of the students on a regular basis. He is also really happy with the class sizes. The college application season was so difficult and nothing seemed to really fit. So, I'm really thrilled how well this has worked out. If UVA is "better" than WM; UVA must be incredible.

Of course its not. The underlying score is a 55 vs a 56. Why does anyone think this is a meaningful way to distinguish between universities
