Life is too short to have something this annoying. Of course I'm super fortunate to be able to afford this option. If I damaged my abdomen lifting weights insurance would cover it! But they will not help us.
Good luck OP, it sucks.
I did a TT too, and lipo. So glad I did it and the lipo made a huge difference. The first night after surgery, I could feel the difference in my abdominal skin and was so grateful to have finally rid myself of it. Report back - I'd like to hear about your experience.
I am four weeks post op now (my surgeon had a cancellation and I actually went in on September 27)! I am still experiencing some swelling but am down a solid couple of inches, probably will be another 1/2-1 inch when I'm fully healed. I am very flat, but more than that my stomach just feels...better. It FEELS better, not just looks better. The feeling of looking great in jeans and dresses etc that is all good, but the feeling of just having everything put back together just literally feels better. If I get full my stomach doesn't expand so it looks like I'm pregnant, I just get full. Also I can't eat as much because there is less room haha.
Anyway, it has been great, I just feel like I had been wearing a stretched out shirt for years. And I forgot what it was like to wear a fitted shirt. And now I'm wearing a fitted shirt, like after you have the flu for a week and put on some clothes to go back out into the world. It's really been a surprisingly good feeling.
And the first two weeks I did not feel like that! I felt like drains were horrible and I had butchered myself. But now the scar is already looking much better and I'm feeling great.
I did not do lipo.
