Math and essay writing tuition. Soccer and tennis lessons. Did some but should've done it regularly.

Letting XDH deal with DC’s sports. DC was in the top 20 nationally after only two years in the sport. XDH, who undermines DC in various ways, kept “forgetting” sign DC up for national tournaments. Eventually DC lost interest.

My DC is somewhat low energy and has always needed a lot of down time and refused to be in a lot of activities. I didn’t push and sometimes feel guilty about it but sometimes don’t.

My adult kid complained that we didn't teach him to kayak. He did get to ski around the world however. I rolled my eyes a bit, and he worked out how to use the paddle.

Yep. Stuff like this. And swim team. We couldn’t afford the now seemingly reasonable local pool. We go so infrequently, we’re paying $75/ a swim now. When we would have used it, we couldn’t.

Op, for what it’s worth we got the huge trampoline that my kids begged for and they ended up using it a handful of times before losing interest. It then sat in our yard unused for years until we eventually gave it away. It’s easy to paint a rosy picture of what might have been, but chances are it’s not realistic.
