We accidentally went to the buffet once (intended to go for lunch, but it was a federal holiday and apparently they do the buffet on federal holidays) and it was okay but not at all worth the $40+ that they charge. I've been there for lunch before and there are perfectly fine lunch options.

How do you know that’s where he got it?

Because people seem to think it is such a good restaurant which it is not. The food is gross snd the service awful. Anyone that appreciates good food can’t understand why anyone would go there.

I don’t get the hate for FF either. Granted I’ve only eaten there once- about ten years ago. It wasn’t fine dining, but for what it was I thought it was good.

Have you been recently?

When it first opened, the food was good and the prices were fair for the area. We really liked the brunch (it wasn't a buffet) and a few of the dinner items. Bar was good too. Probably went there a few times a year.

We went back earlier this summer and we won't be back again. Prices have gone up a lot, plus look for the 5% pandemic surcharge they will add to your bill on top of that. The food we got ranged from boring to barely eatable. Nothing was worth it. Even the biscuits, which were always good, have changed (new recipe?). Service was fine...

I've never seen people pile so much food on a plate. And then most of them covered the mountain with sausage gravy.

That's what I would do, minus the sausage gravy. I mean, it's a buffet.

Some buffets are a cultural thing. It’s a big thing where I’m from and the food is good. But I agree FF is meh at best.

What you expect OP? Only slobs go to all you can eat feeding troughs. Expect animals and animal behavior at the zoo.
