Oh please … If you think Hero’s, Skywalkers, M&D evaluations are fair and open, keep drinking that kool aid. They may have a second day of tryouts, but they, like Capital, know exactly who they want before tryout sessions start.

There were plenty girls who went to the clinics and weren't offered spots so there is no real correlation. The kids who went to G8 were also at a big disadvantage because they played three hard games Sunday afternoon in New Jersey and then had to turn around less than 24 hours later for a four hour tryout.

But it's not like the lessons were a secret. They were advertised and anyone could attend. If it is something you want, you find a way to gst noticed, whether it is those lessons or healthy baller sessions, but you don't leave it up to a one time tryout with 150 girls and expext to stand out

You probably won’t believe this but my DD didn’t even try out for Capital. She is on another team. But some friends did.
You sound very disgruntled. I believe that girls who went to clinics but had no prior relationship outside of that were offered spots. I am sorry that it did not work out for your daughter but getting angry that girls didn’t get a fair look seems like a stretch.

But really bad schools from an academic perspective. If you care about your DD going to a well regarded college, MCElite has a better track record than VAMetro.
It is all about the girls accomplishing what they want to get out of their club lacrosse experience. VA Metros latest commit is to USF. This is a good addition as many expect USF to land top level recruits and be competitive quickly under Coach McCord. Add to this the JMU and Michigan commits. These are good academic and lax schools.

PP, your statement shows you just don’t understand what it’s all about. It’s about finding the right fit both academically and sport wise for your daughter. So perhaps instead of stating that the schools the metro kids committed are horrible academic and putting teenagers down, maybe you should try the opposite and congratulate them for finding that good home.

My issue with all this is that there is a good chance a better player didn’t make the team because they didn’t do the lessons.
Tryouts should be over several days even a week to make sure the right girls are getting an offer. Having two hours tryouts and charging $50 or whatever for 180 players is misleading and unethical. Period.
