He made sure his most viable challenger got redistricted to Ward 7, so I would not put too much stock into his lack of a challenger. He also wanted to run for mayor but was advised that he would get routed by just about any opponent.
Charles Allen as mayor would be an unmitigated disaster

We got our wish.
Nadeau is being opposed by Green Party Candidate and community malcontent Chris Otten. Last time we spotted Chris he was being dragged out of an Arlington community meeting after telling residents to go "F" themselves.

Elissa Silverman is another awful one.
The DC council is being taken over by progressives who are guided by ideological but not realistic goals. They don't understand that their progressive actions are going to make the city unsafe and just not a nice place to live.

Silverman is definitely more at risk because she is an "independent" so will likely have challengers in November. Brianne might too but the D next to her name basically assures she will be reelected.

It would be nice to have a councilmember who actually advocates for her constituents' interests. That is actually what the council is for. How on earth have we gotten to this point of the position being taken away from the actual constituency it is supposed to serve and turned in to a vehicle for Nadeau's ideology performance and personal brand?
