Yuck. Both drinking from plastic and not caring that you are adding 2-4 bottles to the ocean garbage patch every day. You make think it's "luxury" but to everyone else it's tacky and gross

There's a special place in hell for people who drink bottled water

+1, and this place is right beside the SUV-drivers and the cruise tourists and the people who think it's a human right to eat meat at least twice a day.

I think maybe "luxury" is the new "fancy."

Agree, plastic water bottles are bought and used on a daily basis by poors. Well off people use reusable containers for faily use.

Uh, the "poors" can't afford to spend $2 or more on a glass of water. IME, plastic water bottles are bought by stupid people with disposable income.

Not true. All of DHs awful Trumpy relatives by huge flats of bottled water (they are cheap).

So, stupid people with disposable income. Most Trump supporters aren't actually living in poverty. They own pickup trucks and boats and have disposable income.

OP, there are plenty of water bottles and reusable cups. You just need to look and research. I have a hydro flask, it’s my fav, I can’t drink enough through the straw . I have the ReUse cup that I drink out of daily or a Starbucks cup that I love.

Bottle Bright (12 Tablets) - All Natural, Safe, Free of Odor and Harmful Ingredients - Water Bottle & Hydration Pack Cleaning Tablets Clear https://a.co/d/7abuqlp

There are also bottle cleaners that you can use so you don’t need to worry about bacteria.

Celebrities are frequently photographed buying cases of big Fiji bottles. And any academic and professional conference I’ve ever been at featured a lot of complimentary 500mL bottles peppered everywhere.

That's ... your definition of luxury?

You carry a cumbersome glass bottle everywhere? How many oz?

No. I drink water out of a glass. Then I drink another one. It's not hard.

Jesus, how heavy do you think a bottle is? You're just determined to justify your wasteful habit, aren't you?

I keep a water bottle at work, and a small one in my bag. This is really not hard.

Small as in 500mL? I found the S’well bottles when full are surprisingly heavy. And again, bacteria concerns.

Do you worry this much about the bacteria in a water glass that went through your dishwasher? WTF?

Right? If you're worried about germs, just wash the damn thing.

Yep. I live way out in the podunks, and the people out here buy flats of plastic bottled water.

I use either a Hydro Flask or Yeti. Neither ever have a metallic taste. I also have a glass bottle that I enjoy using but it's pretty much just for my desk and around the house because it doesn't keep ice in it very well.

I am one of those weird people who will not fill their water bottle from a public sink, faucet, or water fountain. When I'm in public and I've emptied my Hydro Flask, I buy a bottle to add to it.

What even is the point of that? It's just as wasteful. There are water fountains that have bottle fillers. Are you a germaphobe? People aren't putting their mouths on faucets, and adults don't generally put their mouths on drinking fountain spouts, either.

you can drink water out of many different containers. some like bottles, some like cups. if you are talking at your desk at work, cups work fine.

i do save a glass bottle or two to refill with water at home, mostly to fill my cup with nice COLD water.

i don't see the need to carry a water bottle with me everywhere i go, so a large insulated cup works fine for me.

You realize that your luxury plastic bottle of plain old water gets contaminated with gazillions of germs the first time you take a sip, right?

Best to only use your single use plastic bottle of plain water once, then open a pristine luxury new one.

Just toss the old bottle out the car window. Someone poor will pick it up.
