I think this would be very weird -- I don't always think nn have to perfectly match the longer name, but doing a nn with an accent when the full name doesn't have one might be a bridge too far.
Also, while I like the idea of naming kids after relatives or important people, I am not in love with naming girls after men by feminizing the male name. Men already get honored a lot! And they already pass their names down to sons a lot, even though women rarely pass names down to daughters. So giving a girl a name to honor a male family member just kind of further perpetuates this. Find a female relative to honor for once!
