A bark collar could likely cause more poop and pee accidents from the extreme stress on a senior dog.

Don't put a bark collar on a senior dog - that is really cruel!! I'm a dog person but I don't see this working out well. You really may need to find a new nanny if she can't find a friend to take the dog. Before I read that the dog is old, I thought it may adapt if allowed free roam, but not if it's using the house as its bathroom and barking all the time.

I will never understand why people who don’t have a stable living situation think it’s a good idea to have a pet.

You’ve bend over backwards to help her out. Now, I need for you to put on your big girl panties and have the hard conversation with your nanny. Please take yourself out of the solution phase; this not your issue to solve. When you try to do so, it becomes more and more your problem. As you've read the suggestions above: daycare, training, etc…no, no, no!

We are not a dog family and would never allow this. Bringing a pet into the house is a huge change. No way. If you don't like having a dog, do not have one and do not be embarrassed to say it.

If she can afford to send her family money, she can afford her responsibilities in this country.

You can get one or more of the dog's vocal cords removed. It is a common solution.

Also the dog needs to be walked 3-4 times per day.

Is there some reason the dog can’t have free range of the house? He likely is lonely/bored - maybe just looking to be included with the rest of the “pack”. Living alone in a bedroom is no life for the dog. Might be if you just let him out with her during the day, problem solved.
