Well white DC politicians generally have plateaued political careers. They won't be mayor and they can't run for Congress.

Her and Bonds are the epitome of incompetent, regardless of how you view their politics. Both are going to win simply on name recognition.

I love Jonetta Rose Barras. If you compare this to the current “Loose Lips” you realize how much of a step down the City Paper has gone.

Pockets of Ward 1, especially Columbia Heights, have been battling crime for years without significant change. In February 2019, the month after Nadeau began her second term, a public exchange on DC Urban Moms and Dads revealed residents’ dissatisfaction.

“There were improvements before Nadeau arrived and MPD leadership changed,” noted one resident, who like the others was listed as anonymous. “The problems have become more pronounced” in Columbia Heights and Park View “since she was elected.”

“All she seems to care about is decriminalizing behavior and encouraging citizens not to call the police to keep ‘vulnerable populations’ out of jail,” wrote the Ward 1 resident in the discussion titled “Does Brianne Nadeau care about her job?”

People DESPISE her and they’ve never even met her, just based on her dishonesty and track record. 2 mandates and hasn’t mentioned crime on her Twitter since 2019, tells neighbors to soundproof their homes if they don’t like the noise and illegal vehicles and dangerous driving in a year children have died in traffic accidents.

Please people vote Salah, even if you don’t like him. We have to save what’s left, particularly for the girls and boys growing up here

We cannot. This self-serving smug wonkette dilettante has been such a big negative in my family’s and our neighbors’ lives. I actually can’t think of two worse politicians for our Ward than Trump and Nadeau. Cut of the same cloth, on the opposite ends of the political spectrum. I hope Ward 1 sends a resounding message.
